US 4th Infantry Union Army Company C

US 4th Infantry Union Army Company C.
WCWA Washington Civil War Association

I am involved with Civil War Reenacting and Living History
I am part of the Union Army where we put on battles firing muzzle loading black powder rifle muskets Springfield.
I serve as a Private we display the tactics and camp life in the American Civil war which occurred during the early 1860s
For major battles we also use cannons horses and sharp shooters
We aim to bring a high level of professionalism and accuracy to display educate and entertain historians, scholars, veterans and the general public.
The US 4th Infantry were stationed in the WA territory in the early developing town of Lakewood and Tacoma at Fort Steilaqoom to prevent traders, loggers, and settlers from the threats of the Native Americans. Our monthly meetings we drill and march on the same fields the soldiers we are portraying did 150 years earlier and the soldiers and officers as well as the civiians in our unit are much like a family as we cook meals and attend 1860 dance social events as well as provide education and exposure to local schools and community events in Washington State to enrich the understanding of the Civil War.
